Only locals in Berkeley know this sick spot, where boulders the size of four-story houses sit high atop the Berkeley Hills and provide panoramic views of the entire Bay. It’s not much of a hike up the boulders—probably only about a half mile—but it’s crazy because it’s just this bustling park right in the middle of multimillion-dollar homes. There’s also outdoor rock climbing, and an interesting history of Native Americans using this place as a ceremonial ground.

Grab some dinner from Solano Avenue and watch the sunset from Indian Rock! You’ll find stairs carved into the left side of the rock.
A Berkeley classic with views of the bay on top of this large rock. We prefer the lawerence lab for views, but it’s a Berkeley landmark for sure :)
Come here for gorgeous sunrise and sunset views of the bay area, with panoramic view including the bay bridge and golden gate bridge - weather permitting! Get on some climbing shoes and try some local boulders while you're at it!
