The Whitney Museum compared with other NYC galleries has the best building architecturally with stunning views, so you get two for the price of one :) . Tip 1: On Friday nights it is free from 7pm, but get there earlier for the line. Tip 2: It is located in the trendy Meatpacking District, close to…
The Whitney Museum of American Art, known informally as the "Whitney", is an art museum in Manhattan. It was founded in 1930 by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, a wealthy and prominent American socialite and art patron after whom it is named. The Whitney focuses on 20th- and 21st-century American art.
The brand new Whitney sits in a Renzo Piano–designed building at the southern end of the High Line. The uptown Whitney decamped because of space constrictions, a situation that's now eased by its 200,000 square feet. Bonus: It's open until 10 p.m. on the weekends.
This Museum has always something new to offer, fascinating art and the view to the city its spectacular!
Another excellent choice, the Museum of American Art. After enjoying this amazing pieces visit the roof top and get a glass of wine.

“Absolutely incredible museum-- easy to drive and park in their parking garage. The garage is not well advertised-- we have found it very accessible and when you enter the museum from the garage, you can skip the line in front!”

“A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone's New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.”
