Puketapu Loop Lonely Planet singled out this loop as one of the best to try out in this country. The short 18km ride goes up one side of the Tutaekuri river from taradale and back down the other, with majestic vistas vineyards and farmland. A short 5 minute walk from the accommodation & across the bridge will bring you to beautiful river swimming spots as well as the cycle & walking trail. There is also trout fishing in the river.
