The best “Lapas” from Madeira and such a good garlic bread and views! Specialities: "Lapas Grelhadas" and "Bolo do Caco". Lapas Grelhadas- Limpets (lapas) are a special shellfish variety with only one shell that survives only in clear sea waters, providing it with a unique flavour. Served with garlic, butter and a squeeze of lemon, this specialty comes in a hot pan directly from the grill. Add hot Bolo do Caco with melting garlic butter and parsley and you’ll have the favourite meal starter among locals. Bolo do Caco - A flat, circular bread, shaped like a cake and thus called bolo (Portuguese for 'cake'). It is traditionally cooked on a caco, a flat basalt stone slab.
