This is a great hiking place if you haven't been there. It's 13 minutes driving from our Yurt, and 46 minutes of biking. It has several trails. The trail to the water fall and some trails are less challenging. This is the last bit of the big woods left in the Midwest. Remember the book "Little house in the big woods"? Yes, this was part of the big woods they lived in, from Wisconsin to Minnesota, covering everywhere we now live.

A large beautiful wooded park area just SE of Northfield with miles of trails to hike and cross country ski.

A great park to hike in the warm months. In the winter, you can ride from the LakeHouse to trails into Big Woods State Park.
