La Stazione dell'Arte is a very small contemporary art museum dedicated to the work of Maria Lai. Inaugurated in 2006, following a donation by the artist of a corpus of over one hundred and forty works, the museum is located in the premises of the former railway station, located downstream of the town. The choice of the place lends itself well to communicating one of the most cherished intentions of the artist's work, namely that of bringing art to people. The station, in fact, commonly perceived as a place of departures and arrivals, of encounters, of human relationships that meet and separate, becomes the ideal setting in which to host the works that Maria Lai bequeathed to her hometown. .
