Surprise View is a spectacular view point above Hathersage and is known for being one of the best viewpoints in the Peak District and also for being a great spot to sit and watch the sunset.

As the name suggests, this view is just magnificent. Park in Surprise View car park and head up the hill to mothers cap, follow the trail further into the peaks or just enjoy the view from here.

Wonderful views of the Peak District Walk down into Hathersage. Or the round walk through Padley Gorge -Foxhouse.
