Animal friendly year round. Feels like a private beach. Miles and miles of trails and scenery. Tons of history and learning opportunities.

This is a nice place to hike, ride a bike, enjoy the bay, ir just enjoy nature. Enjoy the beautiful sunset while you are there; take some mosquito repellent just in case. There are some paddle boarding classes given there as well.

Beautiful and diverse three mile trail you must see if you like being outdoors. Park on 64th outside the park to save on parking, or park inside the gate. One past the entrance gate on the left side There’s a 3 mile trail (1.5 miles one way and then repeat trail to return). Takes you through the woods, by the water, through old cypress marshes, over bridges (you’ll see crabs and fish beneath), and more until you eventually come to a beach called the Narrows. Biking permitted on this trail. There are longer trails to the right, the pretty ones through the waters edge on the right don’t permit bikes but this 3 mile one is easy and my favorite for running, walking, or biking.

Site where America's first permanent English settlers touched shore in the New World in 1607, thirteen years before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. Things to do: biking, hiking, boating, beach, water.
