Do you want to see the development from historic Edinburgh? This area is often referred to New Town, developed when old town became over populated and the wealthy wanted to relocate. The homes are grand and the area is built around the Water of Leith - a river that connects tourist locations such as the Royal Britania on the River Forth to tourist locations such as the Modern Art Gallery in land. Stockbridge is filled with restaurants, a farmers market every weekend, pubs and bars for days and lots of boutiques and charity shops: it is a local hobby to go thrift shopping here. Inverleith Park is situated as the bottom of Stockbridge and is a gorgeous location for views of the city, a walk round the lake or even to catch a local rugby game. In cold weather - I highly recommend hiding by the fire with your pint in the Raeburn Pub.

pleasant neighborhood with some nice pubs and wine bars. many artisan shops - coffee roaster, fromageries etc. Botanical Gardens are nearby.

Stockbridge market is open on Sundays , you can find great indecent. food and craft stalls , then wander along the waters of Leith or through Stockbridge
