The Red Mile is almost a sacred place for harness-racing and its 1 mile red-clay track still echoes with the hoof beats of swift trotters. Locals and tourists find their way there to see and hear and watch the horses fly while not running.

The Red Mile is a historical racetrack where traditionally standardbred harness racing takes place. The track got its name back in 1875 because it is made of one mile of red clay. They recently added off track betting and gambling inside.
