Take the ferry to Vashon Island and see Tacoma from a different perspective. Vashon is home to many artists and is a great place to spend the day. Another ferry from a terminal at the north end of the island will take you to Seattle, so you can make a full loop.

Don't even get out of your car. Cruise "5 mile drive." Feel lost in the old growth forest, stunning views of Narrows Bridge. It's the 2nd largest city park in the nation. (Largest: Central Park, NYC)
