20min away. This was the First National Park in Mexico with a Monastery Museum and a River. There are also Restaurants to grab a bite and shops. Closed Mondays. 10am-5pm $21 pesos

Beautiful forest 10 min away, to practice hiking, mountain bike, or just walk. It has an ancient monks temple that its a must to visit.

Desierto de los Leones National Park its located within 15 km from Paradox Santa Fe. Desierto de los Leones National Park its great for joggers, runners, hikers and mountain bikers. You can enjoy the fresh air of a place surrounded by a Pine Tree Forest. You will also find, several local food. The park's altitude varies between 2,600 and 3,700 meters above sea level, giving the area a relatively cold and damp climate. It is a forested area primarily with pines, oyamel firs and holm oaks with many brooks, ravines and waterfalls. The park is considered to be the oldest protected biosphere in Mexico. It was originally declared a forest reserve in 1876 by President Lerdo de Tejada with the intent of conserving its fresh water springs to supply Mexico City. It was later declared a national park on 27 November 1917, by President Venustiano Carranza.
