This is a stunning and very big temple complex set in a very small village among rice fields about one hour north of Chiang Mai. It is a must see for all visitors to this part of Thailand. The wood work is superb, it has some very different looking dragons at the entrances, and different style (from around SE Asia) pagodas. Absolutely beautiful, do not miss this opportunity.

This amazing temple complex is one of the largest and most impressive in the region. It dominates the Mae Taeng valley. Drive your own vehicle, or for the more adventurous, hire a mountain-bike from Le Cocotier. A short cycling ride will get you there as this must visit Temple is located only 6 km from Le Cocotier, on easy flat rural roads.

清迈的蓝庙和清莱的蓝庙不是同一个，清莱距离清迈差不多约3个多小时的车程，而清迈的蓝庙则约40分钟的路程，在mae rim以北的方向。我很喜欢在蓝庙前的座椅上坐着闭目养神，不要觉得奇怪，大家过去会发现很多人都在那里坐着。 如果大家是团游的话，可能无法感受了，时间不等人，如果是自由行的话，大家可以试一试，5点半以后，夕阳西下，微风拂过，庙宇屋檐前的风铃随风摇曳，传来的阵阵风铃声，闭目坐着，然后放空自己，静静聆听，整个人血脉慢慢扩张，十分舒服，不需要多久，蓝庙逛一圈可能用不了半个小时，但是那种感觉让我觉得开车过去还是非常值得的！而且等下午5点以后，本地人会陆陆续续的过来，就和饭后散步一样，那种融入的感觉十分明显！而且是免费的哟，当然，清迈的寺庙基本都不会收费，捐款除外！ 既然是寺庙当然还有一定规则要遵守的： 一、寺庙对着装是有要求的，裤子不可过膝，女性一定不要穿超短裙，这样会被视为不敬。 二、进寺庙在上楼提前一定要脱鞋，这个是风俗习惯，也是要求，不过这个不用担心，因为基本上每个寺庙前都会放着一地的鞋子，不过千万不要穿错了，因为一地都是拖鞋！ 三、这个是对女性说的，千万不要随便去触碰僧人，因为这在他们眼中这么做是非常不礼貌的 四、拍照一定要看一下旁边是否有禁止照相的标语，没有的话就无所谓了，因为在泰国不是什么都可以拍照的。
