“Las Nueve Esquinas” emerge at the end of 1800. These were the boundaries between Mexicaltzingo and Guadalajara. The two localities were connected by "Las Damas" bridge. These were the outskirts of the city of Guadalajara connecting to one of the most ancient indigenous towns, Mexicaltzingo. It started as a commerce point and today is a gastronomic point of reference where local families gathered to eat birria and pitayas, in seson. The temples of San Francisco and Aránzazu are also close by.
