Desert View Tower is my favorite spot on the South Rim. A fun place all the way out on the east side.

A must visit vista in my opinion. Features views of the river down towards Phantom Ranch and up towards the Confluence. Don't miss the Native American murals on each level of the tower itself! Also, the ice cream nearby is awesome!

Part of Grand Canyon National Park, Mary Jane Elizabeth Colter was the architect who designed this and several other interesting things in the area, including La Posada, the train station in Winslow.
