This state park is unique in a few ways. They have several long stretches of beach, historic houses, farming and animals, and they host one of the largest fairs in the state, the Pork, Pine and Peanut festival. It's the perfect place for a picnic lunch or a long hike. Right by the manor house is a lovely garden to check out too!

Beautiful spot on the banks of the James River. has everything for the outdoor enthusiast: hiking, biking, running, swimming pool, and beaches. Historic sites and family friendly programs.

Biking, fishing, swimming. The Chippokes Plantation is a great place to visit. You can just do a self tour or take a guided tour.

In addition to hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, the park offers a visitor's center, farm & forestry museum, gift shop, public pool (separate admission fee), and historic 19th century mansion house tour (separate admission fee).
