Fortress Sarmizegetusa. Ancient Sarmizegetusa is situated in the west of the Country Haţegului, about 8 km from the "Iron Gates of Transylvania". It is the biggest Geto-Dacian fortification of Romania. It was the center of military, religious and political of Dacians. There are 390 km ( 5h 30 min) from Bucharest.

This is the ancient capital of the Dacian Empire, it is located on top of a mountain, there's an asphalt road leading up to it, the whole trip you're surrounded by forests and rivers and creeks, you'll really enjoy this trip if you like nature.
