It most famous sights are The church of Apostles Peter and Paul in the square, the Tower of Trikalitis, the renovated stone school - an excellent sample of architecture of that period, the Tower of Agas of the 18th century, the old carpet factory and the stone made bridge. The monastery of Panagia Malevi (most popular destination – 8km distance from the village of Agios Petros) is one of the oldest monasteries in the region of Parnonos Mountain. The monastery is ascribed to the year 1116AD for its foundation while the old Monastery was built in 717 AD.

It is one of the best-known and famous monasteries of Arcadia. The icon of the Virgin Mary - which dates from 1360 - is considered miraculous and every year thousands of pilgrims visit the Monastery - many of them are the visitors of the villages of Kastri that light a candle to the woman monastery, that is located 950m above sea level and is surrounded by the famous cedarforest-a preservable monument of nature, that is unique in the area. The monastery is 44km far from Tripolis and 30km from Astros and its first establishment was the 14th century, whereas the new monastery was built in 1616. The help of the monastery during the Struggle of 1821 was priceless. After its disaster from the Turkish was rebuilt between 1802-1805 and there Agios Neilos-his real name was Nikolaos Terzakis - became a monk before he left for Mount Athos. The main church of the monastery is small, domed and cruciform as in the ground of the monastery a temple of Virgin Mary and a small church of Agios Neilos have been built. The monastery offers guest rooms and other helping spaces.

Περικυκλωμένη από το δάσος των μαλεβίσιων κέδρων, στις πλαγιές του Πάρνωνα, ξεπροβάλλει η επιβλητική εκκλησία της Παναγίας Μαλεβής. Η ομώνυμη μονή διαθέτει έξι εκκλησίες, σύγχρονους ξενώνες, βοηθητικούς χώρους και έναν όμορφο περίβολο γεμάτο λουλούδια. Πέντε χιλιόμετρα από το χωριό του Αγίου Πέτρου είναι ένα από κυριότερα μοναστήρια της Αρκαδίας, χτισμένο σε υψόμετρο 1.100 μ., από το έτος 1116. Και όπως δηλώνουν οι κάτοικοι «να ’ναι καλά η Μαλεβή που γεμίζει το χωριό μας κόσμο». Σήμερα ζουν εκεί δέκα μοναχές, που φροντίζουν τον χώρο και υποδέχονται με καλοσύνη τους προσκυνητές. Η θαυματουργή εικόνα της Παναγίας είναι μία από τις 70 που ζωγράφισε ο Ευαγγελιστής Λουκάς και γιορτάζει στις 23 Αυγούστου.
