If you are able I would highly recommend a walk up to the dean bridge and Dean village area from the flat. One of the best walks Edinburgh has to offer.

Take a half hour to walk along the Water of Leith from Stockbridge to the Dean village (which is situated under the Dean Bridge). It's a pretty, leafy walk and you will also see St Bernard's Well along the way. Keep an eye out for the otters!

The infamous bridge where Sherlock Holmes plummeted to his death. Also nearby is the water of Leith, and Dean Village for quaint homes and narrow streets

The New town is beatiful from here if you areon the West End check it.
