The St. Beatus Caves are a very impressive site to visit on those rainy days. You can walk about 900 meters into the mountain and get to see many great rock formations. Make sure you take a jacket with you, even in summer. it is always around 8 degrees in the caves. Best is to take the ship from Oberhofen Pier to Sundlauene and then hike about 25 minutes to the caves. Alternatively you may take the bus (free of charge with your Panorama Card) or the car to Beatushöhlen. There is as well a small museum where you get to see some mountain crystals.

Die St. Beatus-Höhlen am Thunersee nahe Interlaken, zählen zu den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Ausflugszielen der Schweiz! Erforschen Sie auf ca. einem Kilometer das Innere des Berges auf einem gut ausgebauten und ausgeleuchteten Weg. Auch ideal bei schlechtem Wetter.
