Sometimes when the western wind is a bit chilly at the beach, you can go swimming in dune lake Het Wed instead. Enclosed by dunes, the wind is less severe. For kids it's ideal, because there is a lot of shallow water they can play in. It's clearly marked where the water gets deeper.

A small lake in the dunes. Great for walking, relaxing and swimming if you don't feel like going to the beach
