This is one of my favorite swimming places on earth. You can park in Chester Park's lot, cross Skyline Parkway, and head down the trail on either side - we tend to select the right-hand side (west). You'll get there in about 15 minutes, passing a few waterfalls along the way. It's ridiculous that this is right in town.

In the middle of the city but can feel like you're in the middle of the forest, it ends at Chester Bowl which is a local ski hill in the winter.
