We haven't been yet, but this is super close to Smallwood and a local favorite. Non-motorboat lake.

Toronto Reservoir- This is my favorite place to swim and enjoy peaceful water and nature. This is also a recreational area and you can launch kayaks, and non motor boats here. Make a left on Pine Grove. Take Pine Grove all the way until the end. When you come to a gated community make a right and follow signs for Reservoir Recreation Access. This will be a beautiful wooded dirt road. Follow this until you get to parking lot. Highly recommend! Sunsets here are Beautiful!

My best discovery all summer! A gorgeous, secluded, large beach now open to the public - yet I was there all alone on a Monday. A great 3 to 4-mile jog or bike from our cabin down woodsy gravel roads.

Per reviewer:"....This reservoir is beautiful and a lovely paddle! There are gorgeous houses to ogle around the perimeter. Part of the reservoir is private and not accessible but there is plenty of other water to explore. There were some speedy boats out but they were pretty considerate and stayed on the other side from where we were. Saw a bald eagle, a heron, some mergansers and a small black water snake. We spent about 4 1/2 hours paddling..." If you take Pine Grove Rd, the route will be more of a dirt road but I think this entrance is better than going to the other entrance.
