Learn about the Nez Perce Indians and their history. There is a lot of cool Native American history in our area.

The Nez Perce Tribe runs an excellent little museum out here, above the Spalding Mission site, which is now a beautiful wild-ish park area. It's a really great spot for picnics and Clearwater River views. Great for local history with a Native American focus, and the workers are usually extremely helpful and willing to chat when they have time

Historical landmark where Lewis and Clark met the Nez Perce Indians. Missionaries, Henry and Eliza Spaulding settled in the area and introduced Christianity to the Nez Perce. Park atmosphere with historic buildings and museum. This is also referred to as Spaulding Park.
