Ordsall Hall is a historic house and a former stately home in Ordsall, an area of Salford. It dates back more than 750 years, although the oldest surviving parts of the present hall were built in the 15th century. Why not pop along and take part in one of the ghost tours if you dare?

“Close to Salford University and in the grounds of Peel Park lies Salford Museum and Art Gallery, which opened in 1850 as the very first 'unconditionally free' public library in the UK. Now, you can wander its rooms and marvel at the fantastic collection of artworks on display – it’s a real celebration of Victorian painting.”

“There are many reasons why The Quays should be at the top of your 'must see' list when you're in Manchester and Salford. This stunning waterfront destination has grown out of the once derelict docklands of the Salford and Trafford Quays area, transformed from desolate wasteland into a place where some of the country's most iconic buildings (both The Lowry and Imperial War Museum North are RIBA award winners) stand with their neighbours to provide a place where culture, sport, shopping and a lot more come together. And they're all within walking distance of each other.”

“French style food served in a bohemian atmosphere. The quality of the food is high. The frogs legs starter is a surprise item for Chorlton and is even more surprisingly very tasty! A very popular restaurant and booking is advised.”

“On the outskirts of the hipster-packed Northern Quarter, you can find a little bit of Paris in the shape of family-run restaurant 63 Degrees. The Moreaus have left the glamour of their home city to bring a taste of the French capital to Manchester.”
