DC’s ultimate outdoor mecca is Rock Creek Park, a 4.4-square-mile expanse that includes numerous trails for hiking, biking and exploring. There’s more to like about the park, too, like a nature center, picnic areas, riding stables, tennis courts and Peirce Mill, a historical site.

Great park with closed roads for you to run and bike through. Scenic route in the heart of the city! Plenty of hills for those who are looking for a more strenuous adventure. Well populated and traveled.

An amazing spot to get away from the pace of the city. 2,000 acres stretching from D.C. into Maryland. Great for biking, hiking, walking, or picnicking.
