From a gold rush 150 years ago on this rugged coast. The waves crash into the rocks, so very different from the calm water in front of the cottage. There was so much gold that the entire beach was dredged up and taken to New York City for its gold! You can still pan for gold here, but the caves and the ocean are the real treasure.
