This is an incredibly beautiful Neo-Gothic building, built to house an incredible collection of books. It's free to get into and is just a 10min walk from the flat. Apparently they wanted to film Harry Potter here, but it wasn't big enough. Peaky Blinders and Darkest Hour filmed here though.

The city centre art gallery is free to get into and houses a beautiful collection of pre-raphaelite paintings along with Lowry and some contemporary exhibitions. Right next to China Town and the shop and cafe are great.
