Food Scene

Absolutely my favorite breakfast restaurant in town! The portions are amazing, the 'mixologists' make a mean Bloody, and the the adventurous Andy's House Sage Fried Chicken Benedict is to die for and positively Trump sized!! It Huuuuuge! They are very popular especially on weekends, so unless you want to wait an hour I suggest you call ahead and make reservations: (619) 543-1007

Drinks & Nightlife

I identify as a Bear, and it doesnt get much more comfy for me than Pecs. Its a no-frills pool house with a killer outdoor (smoking, although I don't I tolerate it because its comfy) patio, cheap drinks, and laid back attitude. The non-judgy local gays hang out here, and its a block away. Mostly a mans bar, women are more than welcome as well! Just don't expect to many ladies they tend to go elsewhere.

Entertainment & Activities

Hotel del Coronado (also known as The Del and Hotel Del) is a historic beachfront hotel in the city of Coronado, just across the San Diego Bay from San Diego, California. It is one of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre: the wooden Victorian beach resort. It is the second largest wooden structure in the United States (after the Tillamook Air Museum in Tillamook, Oregon) and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977 and a California Historical Landmark in 1970. When it opened in 1888, it was the largest resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities through the years. The hotel has been featured in numerous movies and books. The hotel received a Four Diamond rating from the American Automobile Association[7] and was once listed by USA Today as one of the top ten resorts in the world. The beach in front of the Hotel Del is one of the most amazing beaches in the Us, owed partly to the connection to the hotel and its restaurants, bars, and pools. But most importantly the wide sand beach. By law all beaches in California are accessible to the public, this one included. The address of the hotel is located at 1500 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118 and parking can be a bit tricky but worthwhile, and its located on the west side of the Coronado Island (for which it was named, and actually an isthmus not an island). One of the greatest views of the San Diego skyline can be had driving over the iconic Coronado Bridge just south of Casa de Tres on the 5 freeway south and crossing a bridge, but have your camera ready it’s a quick trip! Also if you are on foot, the Coronado Ferry Trip is a lovely way to see the bay and city skyline! Local traveler suggestion, take the silver strand south instead of coming back along the bridge for great ocean views, it connects the island to land and you will end up in the very south of San Diego.

10 min south of Casa de Tres is San Diego's Iconic Balboa Park. Morley Field is the upper limit of the park, and has hiking trails, fitness equipment, tennis club as well as a playground. Well worth checking out, also a hidden gem is the Balboa Park Cactus Garden!

Getting Around

Casa de Tres is located off the 10 and 5 bus routes, with the 10 route ending at the Old Town Tranisit Center and the 7 a few blocks from the St. Fe train station and Transit center. Both offer transfers to Amtrack, the Coaster, as well as the San Diego Trolly line. Highly recommended way to get around town, and a $12 3 day unlimited pass for the bus and trolley system (except the coaster which is a 5.00 surcharge as transfer), or a 2 week pass for $43
