For a truly spectacular view, go to the rooftop bar at "1 Hotel - Brooklyn Bridge." It's a $20 cover to go to the roof, but the cocktails at the bar on the 10th floor are amazing!

Great book store with thrift shop next door. Proceeds go to help fight homelessness and AIDS in New York City. We love this place (we got married here!) and think you will like it too.

This is the biggest chain grocery store nearby. Though you can buy many vegetables from the street markets in Chinatown, we like Whole Foods for other things we can't find elsewhere. They also have a bulk section and only use paper bags.
