They've got snacks and will often let you order pizza nextdoor (boot + shoe) and they will deliver it to the bar.

Lake Merritt is in the center of Oakland and is a great place to go for a walk. The path around the lake is about 3 mi. If you want a fun afternoon activity, you can rent kayaks for pretty cheap ($10/hr) and take them out on the lake.
