Just across the street 200m down the road you will find this really good and high quality meat and cheese store. They produce local meat and sell mostly to fine dining restaurants in the area, but you can always buy the best stuff for a barbeque or a wine and cheese evening here.

Entertainment & Activities
Take the trolley bicycle or, on saturdays, the old narrow gauge train, to Åseda and back. The tracks pass beautiful lakes, deep forests and you'll experience things like wildlife and great Swedish scenery along the way.
The trolley bicycling is really popular, so make sure to pre-book on www.smalsparet.com. The train is also popular but usually there's always some space for a group, so just go to the station on satuday morning before 10 and catch the first train. Or the second one at 14'o'clock.

One of Swedens best art exhibitions can be found just around the corner of my apartment. It's amazing to have this venue in such a small city as Virserum so make sure to check it out. Open february until late autumn.
If you're lucky you might spot one of my photos in the photo exhibition. There's also a great outdoor park with herbs and spices, as well as a telephone museum and furniture museum. All at the same area called Dackestop. Well worth a visit.
