Skarven is an "institution" in Tromsø, located right at the harbour. It contains a pub serving beer and light dishes, where locals often meet during the day and afternoon (often crowded Friday after work), a cotail bar for late evenings and two excellent restaurants: Arctandria for Seafood and Biffhuset for Steak.

This is my favourite place in Tromsø, as you get three excellent experiences in one: start with a drink in the pub, then go for dinner in one of the two restaurants (grilled dry cod is my favrouite in Arctandria), and end the evening in the coctail bar.

The locally harvested Arctic seaweed cocktail is an experience not to be missed. Built as early as 1868 as a bakery, then used as Troms’ first cinema, Bardus sits in historic surroundings.
