The cable car will take you to the mountain of Srd above the old city from where you will get the most beautiful view of the Pearl of the Adriatic. I recommend going during sunset time. There is a very nice restaurant and bar on the top.

This gorgeous island is a must see and a great place to spend a relaxing day and escape from the crowds and heat. It has lots of natural shade, places to go for a swim, restaurants and bars. The boat to Lokrum leaves every 30 minutes from the old port.
