Mabe’s Pizza grew a reputation for delicious pizza cut into squares with made-from-scratch crust and sauce paired with sincere customer service. Mabel’s family shared the joy she found in serving the food to others and have carried on this tradition since. Mabel’s youngest son, Don White and his late wife Maime took over the restaurant in 1981. Don’s oldest son, Steve White and his wife Connie have had the business since 1999.
Mabel passed away in 2002 when she was 97 years old, she left a legacy for how the pizza should be made and the customers should be treated. Her spirit (and recipe!) are honored with each of the 90,000+ pizzas served every year.

Years later it went through different owners and during the process the A&W franchise was dropped and it was renamed the Family Table. "Nothing fancy, just good food."

Toppling Goliath Brewing Company started in May of 2009 with Clark and Barb Lewey after months of dangerous experimental home brewing projects that claimed the Lewey’s garage. As the recipes gained favor with family and friends, they decided to build a small nano-brewery “on the hill” in Decorah, Iowa. Today, brewing on a new high-quality, 4-vessel, 30-barrel system; and packaging on a new state of the art filling line, the demand still outpaces supply, but not our eagerness! Our brews are distributed throughout NE and central Iowa, and SW Wisconsin. A pleasantly quenching California Common lager, refreshingly clean hop forward ales, bold double IPA’s, barrel and wood aged beers.
