Best Peking duck you can find on the East coast of America. They only accept American Express or cash so be ready. Things can be pricey but the service is exquisite. I highly recommend this but be prepared to spend at least $50.

Chinese bakeries are known to deliver cheap pastries for the hardworking immigrant family. This bakery has revolutionized and re-invented traditional Chinese-style pastries. It's hard to go wrong here. I've only encountered two pastries that didn't taste good. Everything else was unbelievably amazing. It's slightly more expensive than other neighborhood bakeries, but you can easily see why once you have had a taste.

This is one of the three legendary Dim Sum houses. It's cheap, very delicious, but very intimidating to non-Chinese speakers. My advice: 1. enter the lobby, grab a number from the lady. She wears a classic Chinese garb and is usually holding a radio. 2. The number is your ticket. If you aren't present when they call your number then you lost your position on the wait list. The entire party must be present when getting seated. The restaurant spans several floors. It is important to remember which floor they tell you to go. 3. All the staff speak English although not fluently. Just point at what you want, and they'll stamp your card. The stamps get added up later for the bill.

The guy who opened this shop used to or still does have a seat on the Taiwanese government. This means his tea is legit and fresh. The selection is great so you'll be more than likely to find the right gift. Oh, their bubble tea is pretty good too.

It's legendary because non-Chinese locals love it. It's like what every take out restaurant uses as a role-model. It's open late, serves beer and you can get service even if you are drunk at midnight. The staff speak English fluently.

Parks & Nature

This park has a big astroturf field, a big pavilion where locals practice Tai-Chi, and lots of benches to watch locals play Chinese-chess. You can often find locals playing music from back home too. If your kids are driving you crazy, give them half an hour here as there are playgrounds, basketball courts, ping pong tables and chess tables. It's also a decent spot to rest and eat your dessert (lots of dessert options nearby). Don't bother looking for the statue of Christopher Columbus. They moved it decades ago.

One of the few arcades of NYC. This is very family friendly and you can exchange your prize tickets for toys, soda, etc The games are quite diverse so men, women, and children alike will find something fun to do here. Head towards the basketball machines to find the kiosks for play money. You'll need to buy digital tokens at the kiosks to play any of the games.
