It’s also a music venue with nightly entertainment while you eat cuisine appropriate for Fred Flintstone, and seemingly imported from Bedrock. Vegetarian and Vegan options are available, and the ambiance is Old West spectacular. Recently, Sir Paul McCartney and Robert Plant snuck in to play full musical sets. Unexpected musical guests are a regular occurrence at Pappy’s. Don’t miss out. OPEN: Thursday - Sunday 11am to 2am, Monday 11am to 1am.

Noah Purifoy lived and worked most of his life in Los Angeles and Joshua Tree where he died in 2004.
His earliest body of sculpture, constructed out of charred debris from the 1965 Watts rebellion, was the basis for 66 Signs of Neon. A founding director of the Watts Towers Art Center, Purifoy dedicated himself to the found object, and using art as a tool for social change.
After 11 years of public work for the California Arts Council, Purifoy moved to the Mojave. He lived for the last 15 years of his life creating ten acres of large-scale sculpture on the desert floor. Constructed entirely from junked materials, this otherworldly environment is one of California’s great art wonders.
