A mixture of old furniture through the Austrian "style ages", darf heavy commodes combined with playful "Biedermeier" couches, enlighted by 60ies lamps- owned by young people... Delicious, innovative food! everything there seems open, although the garden is tiny, it never is to crowed... the voices create a steady hum in the patio... Even a cat lives there... they have a piano and sometimes you hear the tunes... it feels like in an other time but now... you know?

Dark, red, cosy, but seems "dirty", hidden but open, you have got to go there to know what the "Kaffeehaus" is for a Viennese - there´s no perfect time.. in the evening you might find it difficult to get a seat ....

unbelievably beautiful! In a palais, you´ll drink a delicious, formidable Melange (milkcoffee with foam not whipcream) surrounded by paintings of austrian monarchy, probably disturbed by some over achieving photographers, but still ...
Take the walk through the palais from Freyung to Herrengasse, you´ll feel like in Italy! The fountain is marvellous!

Lookin at the "neue Burg" is a statue- showing "Erzherzog Karl" - he was the only Austrian who defeated Napoleon at the "battle at Zaya" so.... ;-)
