Micro place (only 6 chairs inside and few tables outside) that offers the best pierogi (dumplings) in the City. It's a must... :) If you can't be bothered to eat inside, they offer a take away option. And the good thing is, that it is just opposite the Loft 16. :)

Parks & Nature

Known as the 'lungs of the city,' is one of Kraków's most unique and charming features - three kilometres of public parks and gardens filled with trees, flowers, benches and historic monuments. Walking its circuit would take over an hour, but represents a great way to see the city.

Arts & Culture

A small art cafe, lets you escape the omnipresent crowds and enjoy a drink of specially selected beers in a part of town a bit less visited with a company of several contemporary artworks displayed on the walls.

This well-known haunt, which has been around since 1956, continues the tradition of Parisian cabaret. Outside of the scheduled shows, the place is open as a cabaret/club, from 11 in the morning until the last guest leaves. Throughout the whole of the month of July, Piwnica Pod Baranami hosts the popular Summer Jazz Festival, and like most pubs and clubs, hosts regular exhibitions and music recitals. A Cracow legend.

Our favorite point of interest on the map of Kraków. Amazing, interactive museum that shows the history of Kraków under German occupation of Kraków in WWII. It’s housed in the former enamel factory of Oskar Schindler, the Nazi industrialist who famously saved the lives of members of his Jewish labour force during the Holocaust. Well-organised, innovative exhibits tell the moving story of the city from 1939 to 1945.

One of our favorite places, not often visited by turists. Public square, just across the river from the Powstańców Śląskich bridge has had a turbulent history. During the Kraków Ghetto it was a place for people to socialise, relax and escape the oppressive overcrowding of the tenements. It was also the site of families being torn apart, mass deportations to the death camps, beatings and executions. Following deportations and the final liquidation of the ghetto, the square was strewn with furniture, clothes, luggage and other belongings that the victims had been forced to abandon. Today, laid out with 70 metal chairs that symbolise departure and it's a memorial to the victims of Holocaust.

Cracow's Main Square is an unusual place. Delineated in the middle of the XIII century, it became the principal public area of the city. Unchanged through centuries, today it is the heart of Cracow. But in order to see how it looked like in the late Middle Ages, in the time when Mikolaj Kopernik was walking about - one needs to go underground.
