My personal recommendation is the "frittatina di pasta", the best of all Naples on my advice!

The number one coffee in Naples is the Gambrinus. I do not discuss the quality of the pastry and the bar service, there is only to immerse yourself and explore the history of this great coffee in name and in fact. It is impossible to describe it but in my opinion it is the emblem of literary and historical Naples.

Although the area is not the best, La Masardona offers to the critics the best fried pizza in Naples. It is an experience not to be missed if you are a good fork, even if the fork is not needed! Remember to "remove the hat" from the fried pizza by removing one end to let the air out! It is essential, otherwise you risk that the heat is too much!

Once in Port'Alba, this pizzeria offers one of the best as authentic "wallet pizza". It is a closed pizza as if it were a wallet and perfect to eat on the street, plunging into the history and alleys of Naples.

The pizza and the raw materials used are of great value, the service is impeccable and the quality is very high. You can pay for a "pizza suspended", a pizza that for only € 2.50 will then be given to needy people who can not afford it. I do not recommend going there late at night.

The pizza and the raw materials used are of great value, the service is impeccable and the quality is very high. You can pay for a "pizza suspended", a pizza that for only € 2.50 will then be given to needy people who can not afford it. I do not recommend going there late at night.
If I had to describe the Soulcrumbs proposal in a word I would use "honest": legume soups, bread well paired with fresh ingredients and real comfort of company food.
Although the work has many good "actors", it is really bread to be the undisputed protagonist.
So good to the point that I also made provisions for the house and what I ate, everything was delicious and "in the right place".
I state I was lucky to grow up in a family and in an environment where quality has always been thought of rather than quantity, and let me say that Soulcrumbs are among the best leavened I've ever tasted.
No doubt: it is a bread that you want to do 50km to go back.
Almost hidden behind Piazza Matteotti, it is really a well-furnished room with modern interiors: if there had been a sofa or some more comfortable seating it would have been perfect but maybe they were in the upper loft room I did not see.
An atmosphere that I would like to rediscover next time refers to something more intimate: a musical selection of company worthy of the local for example, instead of the speaker with the electronic music of the radio.
I can not wait to find out, see and especially eat more of SoulCrumbs.

Via Toledo is one of the most famous shopping streets in Naples. In addition to the famous and beautiful metro, it leads directly to Piazza Trieste and Trento and Piazza del Plebiscito. By the way you can find clothes shops of the most famous brands and artisans. A vast and delicious gastronomic proposal: pizza, fried food, desserts and fried pizza. I recommend the sfogliatella from Pintauro and the pizza from Gennaro Salvo.

It is pleasant for a walk in the evening or in the morning, breathing the sea air or entering Castel dell'Ovo.

This minimarket is really close to my residence. It has a lot of products including many healthy and organic choices. It is continuous from morning to evening and the price is very convenient.

Getting Around
Stopping at the Piazza Dante metro is the least tiring way to get to my residence. Admire the square, cross Port'Alba and immerse yourself in the heart of the historic centre of Naples to get to Piazza San Domenico Maggiore.

Drinks & Nightlife
The Chiaia Riviera is one of my favourite places in Naples. There is a rich offer of bars and restaurants and the gastronomic offer is really tempting. It is definitely worth it and is very safe at night. Walking through Chiaia to Mergellina is definitely an activity that I recommend to those in the area.
