Sightseeing

Beautiful view of the city. You can walk across the bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn and then down into Dumbo for Smorgasburg Food Market in Williamsburg on a Saturday morning. It's an easy walk as it's quite flat. The views are great of the East River and beyond. Path is quite narrow in some places and local cyclists leaving the city are in quite a hurry on a Friday evening, just be careful.

Beautiful area of Brooklyn to explore nice architecture, cafes and shops. One of Brooklyn Landmarks and Entry Gate to the Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza is the connecting point between Park Slope and Prospect Heights. Directly located is the Brooklyn Public Library, the Brooklyn Museum, the Botanic Garden and the Park. Best day to visit is Saturday's for the Food Market with a big offering of organic fruits & vegetables, meats, milks, cheese and other locally produced goods.

Great area for shopping , eating, people watching, cafes, and great views but he water of the city. You can also catch a ferry here to Manhattan. It's a hip neighborhood in Brooklyn that draws the young and the fashionable to its chic boutiques, trendy cafes and buzzy restaurants. Street art brightens residential thoroughfares and repurposed factories, while the waterfront provides stunning views of Manhattan and seasonal venues for outdoor concerts and food markets. Dance clubs, happening bars and music halls liven up the nightlife scene.

Coney Island is a residential Brooklyn neighborhood that morphs into a relaxation and entertainment destination each summer. Locals and tourists crowd its beach, the Wonder Wheel and Luna Park, an amusement park featuring the famed Cyclone roller coaster. Street performers, the Circus Sideshow and the Mermaid Parade in June lend an eccentric vibe. Nathan's Famous is known for its July 4th hot-dog eating contest.

Parks & Nature

When visiting Brooklyn Prospect Park is a nice and quiet place in the center. It's a little like Central Park but more quiet and more local (less tourists). It is one of my favorite places to bike, as there is a clear designated bike trail that circles the whole park. One part goes uphill and is slightly challenging, but it is worth the exhilaration after as you travel on a downward slope next to the lake. The seasonal activities at Lakeside such as ice skating and boating are also good options; they are fun and reasonably priced. This is a great site to just with friends and family and have a picnic or play ball under the trees. On Sundays it can get a bit crowded.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, colloquially "the Met", is the largest art museum in the United States. The Met presents over 5,000 years of art from around the world for everyone to experience and enjoy. The Museum lives in three iconic sites in New York City—The Met Fifth Avenue, The Met Breuer, and The Met Cloisters. Since it was founded in 1870, The Met has always aspired to be more than a treasury of rare and beautiful objects. Every day, art comes alive in the Museum's galleries and through its exhibitions and events, revealing both new ideas and unexpected connections across time and across cultures.
