Anything you order will be breathtaking. My favorites are the baked pasta and the tortellini. I always try to try something new.. but sometimes it's hard not to get my favorites!
The patio seating is always cozy, cool, or warm with the heaters. Casual as I mentioned, but also perfectly romantic. Pretty view of sac if you choose to eat outside.
They only take reservations for 6 or more but it's worth the wait if there is one.

It's like being in a $$$ - $$$$ restaurant without those price tags. It seems to be the place to go for dinner on a weekday or the weekend. I ordered the ceviche de guaymas with white fish instead of the shrimp along with a 24oz bottle of an IPA that they had on their drink menu. The ceviche de guaymas includes pico de gallo, avoca

I wanted to try something for dinner with my friends. I must've passed by 58 degrees a dozen times, and thought I give it a try. The wine is also what persuaded me to go.
It's a very romantic setting, but it can also be casual too. From the outside, it looks like a very small restaurant, but don't be deceived! It's actually very spacious inside!

Atmosphere is a speakeasy vibe, very dim and cozy. It can be a little bit loud when the live music is playing, so if you're looking for a place to have an in-depth conversation maybe not the best.
Cocktails are definitely worth the money. Bartenders are the best at what they do and the service is great.

Sightseeing
I haven't been here since the 4th grade field trip when we were all studying California history. Thought we'd make it a day trip to visit the State Capitol, and we were SO glad we did! Learned so much! We took the one hour free tour, and our female guide was terrific. She was so smart, with so many interesting facts, and very open to all our questions. The Capitol is a gorgeous building, inside and out. Loved the paintings, architecture, sculptures, recreations of the governor's office and staff offices of the early 1900's, California county dioramas, etc.
The house is only 4 blocks away so you can easily walk!!

Bottom line is this place is nothing, but absolute nostalgia. This is something that cannot be harnessed anywhere, but here at coin-op. It is something that just reaches out and grabs you, from the minute you walk through those doors.
Drink wise, "the right touch" is the right way to go. Food wise, I've just had the buffalo wings and they are a surprise! They have a little hint of something that made them delicious. In my opinion I would go ahead and skip "balls of fire" unless you're a huge fan of strong cinnamon flavors. Last Sunday is a great intro to this barcode, cause all games are free.

$12/person at the door. Not bad at all. Purchased our tickets earlier, then walked to Sawahdee Thai, a few blocks down. Came back to a crowded theater, so had to sit in the front wing area. Harder to see on the sides.
Mixed crowd-- 35 -65 range... Pretty chill vibe.

What can I say. When we don't feel like driving to the Bay Area we hop on good ole' fashion Amtrak. I like how Amtrak remodeled the inside of the station is much cleaner and not so disorganized as it used to be.
