They have a few live concerts throughout the summer, but usually sell out. Craigslist is a good place for last minute tickets.

They have a great Mexican fusion restaurant (weekend brunch) and a good take-out menu but the real allure here is the second run theater where you can get food and beer and enjoy it while watching a movie or show. Concerts on occasion too. Family films on holidays and weekends during the day and an eclectic mix in the evenings, usually two showings a night. Wild mushroom pizza is amazing!

Parks & Nature
A fun family park with baseball diamonds, large fields, playgrounds, and access to other local parks and trails. A good place for a picnic or a bike ride. Walk up the big hill for a bit of nature in the city - watch out for moose up there!

A big park in the foothills of the mountains not far from our home. A good starting point for mountain hikes in the wilderness. Lots of biking, hiking and xc skiing trails. Moose and bears are around so be aware all year long but not a place where incidents have been common.

An art museum much more expansive than you would expect for such a small town. Great rotating exhibits and a fantastic Alaska history section.
