It is a popular destination for locals and tourists. Basin Head is a supervised white sand beach, play area, food on site, washroom and shower facilities. Dogs are allowed on the beach but have to be on leash.
Basin Head beach goes on for many kilometers so it's a perfect spot for long walks, beach combing and solitude. The water is warm during the summer months and the sand is fine and actually squeeks when you walk on it!
