Wonderful old ruin. Significant highland history.
A small 5k loop suitable for wheelchairs, buggies and prams and another 8k that takes you out into the middle of nowhere. Absolutely fantastic. One not to be missed even if the weather is not great.

About an hour away from The Shepherds Cottage and Ruddyglow Park a trip up to Durness is well worth it. Visit Smoo cave & then Coco Mountain for a hot chocolate to die for.

Britain's highest waterfall - Boat trips leave from Kylesku that take you as close as possible or, if you are fit, you can walk! Better after a lot of rain.
