Within walking distance from the house, this is a great locals dinner spot. It's small inside so definitely make a reservation or call ahead - but the food is excellent and they've got a decent wine list as well as the ability to bring your own wine for a corkage fee.

If you like donuts this is the place to go! They are more of a sweet, light donut (so not too dense) and trust us...they are delicious!

Absolutely stunning wine tasting room with excellent wines made here in Maine. They also have gifts, fine cheeses, crackers and wine for purchase (and they'll ship it to you).

Diamond Island Ferry - great for an evening trip as they do have overnight accommodations, a hotel (Inn on Diamond Island) w/ nice bar & waterfront restaurant. The ferry comes back late at night so you can easily have dinner & get back to Portland on the 11pm ferry.
**Locals Secret** Take the mail boat, it runs most days of the week at 2pm and it's cheaper than a tour AND you can bring your dog as well as your own beverages (like wine & beer with snacks). You won't be able to get off at any of the islands but you'll see all of Casco Bay and can enjoy wine & cheese!
