If love and your curiosity about the Mediterranean maritime world has not run out on your tour aquariums CretAquarium, you may find yourself in the "backstage" on the far side of the Aquarium of Crete, where his daily functions evolve. Inside, and around the village there are excavated parts of the ancient city, Roman remains, Venetian buildings with magnificent doorways and Byzantine churches. The area is famous for its springs of Agia Force, a wooded part with water flowing from every point. Here one to rest in one of the restaurants that serve hundreds of tourists. The Lassithi Plateau is a municipality and a scenic valley surrounded by mountains. Located in Lassithi about 70km east of Heraklion. A Windmill on the Lasithi Plateau.jpg The plateau is known for its picturesque windmills anymore. The 50s and 60s the plateau was one of the first wind farms in Europe. There were about 16 000 windmills that pumped groundwater, to which irrigated their crops of inhabitants.

The Lassithi Plateau is a municipality and a scenic valley surrounded by mountains. Located in Lassithi about 70km east of Heraklion. There were about 16 000 windmills that pumped groundwater, to which irrigated their crops of inhabitants.

Also unique is the BOUGATSA in coffee FILOSOFIES !!! You can find many bars, cafes, night clubs to drink and fun !!! Especially around the Morosini Fountain is very lively life !!! The Morosini Fountain located in Square Lions (Eleftherios Venizelos) opposite the Basilica of San Marco, in the center of Heraklion. Considered one of the most beautiful monuments of Venetian Candia (Name of Heraklion Crete during the Byzantine period) and preserved in very good condition. The construction ratio was not aesthetic but the water supply in the city of Heraklion. The water coming from the mountain Zeus in Archanes with a 15 km aqueduct that reached in Heraklion.
