Edendale is the restaurant and Mixville is their outstanding bar. This place is housed in a 1930s fire station with beautiful architecture and the best outdoor patio in our neighborhood. Only a 5 minute walk from our house!

Sightseeing
This is a legendary, one of a kind LA icon on a peak in the Hollywood Hills. It's been featured in hundreds of movies, from "Rebel With A Cause" to "LaLa Land". The views are spectacular from the hilltop, and the Observatory itself is fascinating. Great for kids too.

This is a 10 minute drive from our house, and is the 3rd largest urban park in the US. There are dozens of great hiking trails here, bike rentals, a vintage merry-go-round, streams, playgrounds, tennis courts, the Greek Theatre outdoor music venue, 2 golf courses, horse and pony rides, train rides and museum, the LA Zoo, the Western Heritage Museum, and Trails Cafe: a cabin in the woods serving premium coffee, pastries and snacks.
