Great people-watching, good for a stroll, or if you have cabin fever and just want to be outside. Also has a good cafe at the boathouse, w/requisite cold-brew, etc., & lowkey vendors w/tacos, etc.

PROOF IS EVERYTHING. This place has the best little skinny sandwiches cured meat sandwiches, and real good croissants, and the interior is just perfect.

Good, friendly yoga studio (not pretentious at all, and Kerrick is esp. great). They have discounted early morning sessions most weekdays ($7, I think..) and do a $10 session in the afternoon.

Expensive, but delicious. Moon Juice has some juice and nut milk combos that are unique to it. Not run-of-the-mill. The Golden Milk is deliciousness. If you want your L.A. juice-fix, go here.

Sightseeing
The only Starbucks in Echo Park is located in a 24-hour laundromat. I just love this. (It's a testament to how many other places there are to get really good coffee in the neighborhood).

Stories is basically an Echo Park institution at this point. Used (and new) bookstore, and also a cafe in the back with a great outdoor sitting area. Good place to people-watch.
