Close to the cabin... great, flat place to paddle board at the headwaters of the wenatchee river. Very Scenic. Great swimming beach on a hot day. COLD, CLEAR, CLEAN mtn water!

The Snow Creek Trail leads up to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Access from Icicle Rd. The trail gains elevation quickly with great views. An out n back hike to the wilderness boundary takes 1-2 hrs.

Drive 1.4 miles on icicle rd off hwy 2 and look for the trailhead sign on the right. Day hike is 2.5 m up and 1800 vertical feet. Great views! Longer hike could go 30 miles into the wilderness area.

Drive to plain from cabin passing hardware and at the end of town turn R on Chapel Dr. Go to the end of the road. You can bike or walk across the river on the original old bridge to river road.

Float the river starting at the lake all the way to the Pondo. Put in at the lake, mosquito flats, or at the bridge for a 6, 4, or 1 hr trip. Fast (class II) in spots. Ask locals and be careful.

This is a cool place to ski or tube in winter, especially the lighted XC trails. Great starting point in summer for mtn bike trails that connect to Freund Canyon, home of the annual bike 'n brew fest.

Freund Canyon Loop is some awesome mtn biking close to the cabin. These trails connect to the new trails off Leavenworth Ski Hill. They build more trails every year.

Hike or mtn bike. Head up hill from the cabin and take a R on C 12 road. Follow as far as you want. It eventually wind up on the chumstik Hwy in about 4 m. Great views of the river and cascades.
